When will the IYF 2008 take place?
The Forum will be take place on June 23rd to 30th 2008

Where will the IYF 2008 be held?
IYF 2008 will be held at Bandung City in West Java, Indonesia. Bandung is well known as Paris van Java, because it's beautiful landscape and scenery, also known by the city of creative youth, has a great history and where Asia - Africa nations first held their first conference on 1955. You will enjoy the romantic green atmosphere of the city.

How do I Participate?
Please keep on eye on this blog, the application process will be starting soon by the end of 2007. Click here to subscribe and read this blog by email.

Who can participate to International Youth Forum 2008?
Every student, young people or NGO member can participate to IYF2008, with the condition of having age between 18 - 30 years old.

How do I register?
Visit our IYF 2008's blog at: www.iyf2008.blogspot.com, download the application then send it back through email to bandungforum@gmail.com, or fax at (62-21) 8294734.

How much is the participant fee?
The Participant fee is USD$350 per person (excluding money transfer fee).

How can I pay the fee?
All payment should be made by bank transfer.The Forum organizer will issue you an official invitation letter and invoice once we already received and reviewed upon we received your application form

How to apply for Indonesian Visa?
Check out to the nearest Indonesian Embassy at your country for (example:http://www.indonesianembassy.org.uk/consular_visa_procedures.html)

Do you provide scholarship?
We provide a very limited scholarship for participant fee. Please keep updated with this blog.

What does the participation fee includes?
The one-time participant fee covers administration, workshop kit, 6 nights accommodation, meals, local transportation, field trips, organized activities, a friendly airport greeting, an International Youth Forum 2008 diploma and opening & closing ceremonies gala evening.

Does the fee include insurance?
No it does not. We recommend you buying insurance at your countries.

How I will be accommodated?
You'll be accommodated randomly; we're trying to mix the nationalities. However, of course we are open for your suggestions, in case you'd like to be with somebody specific in the room. Either way, once you're accommodated it is possible to change the room, just notify us about it.

Is it necessary to participate in all events during IYF2008?
Yes, it is!

Do I receive an evidence of my participation to IYF2008?
Every participant is going to receive a participation diploma.

About Program: International Youth Forum 2008 is a forum for youths to learn, share and experience mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation among world youth faiths leader communities through real conversations on what things that matter the most, so that they can be the agents of a peaceful change in their own communities. The IYF 2008 will bring about 300 young people ages of 18-30 from around the world that have been actively engaged or interested in this program.

Program's Goal:

* To promote mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation among interfaith, international, and inter-civilization youth leaders in the world.
* To bring clarity of divisive issues and help forge greater understanding towards peace.
* To build a peace network
* To provide creative space for peace thoughts, interactions, and social movement.
* To build a Global Youth Action Plan and recommendation on achieving MDGs 2015

Program format:

This program will offer a mixing speakers to share their own experiences of peace-building toward MDGs and youth empowerment issue, country paper sessions, inner reflection and sharing in which individuals can share their peace-building stories, panel-discussions, quiet time, world cafe, dialogue, field practice, social workshops involving the local communities, free time, workshop on practical exercises for skill improvement, cultural event, and family groups.

About The Positive Movement

Positive Movement


The Positive Movement is a non-profit, non-governmental organization worked to spread positive values and to persuade people to be more positive and responsible for their community. There are many positive values to be spread. Start from small things such as, no littering message to the big values like pluralism or world peace. We supported individual to community changes. These movement are purely done by social cause with no interfere from the government nor the political party.

- Building alternative education for street kids

- Direct aid for natural disaster victims

- Actions related on actual issues

- Celeberating the kindnes day
